This work deals with the theme of Three-Dimensional Immersive Digital Environments and its possibilities and implications in the field of education. This emerging issue has not been addressed as much in Mexico as in England, the country of origin of Paul Rudman, one of the authors, and where this issue is part of the didactic-technological innovation agenda. The meeting of the two authors took place in the university classroom of the Doctorate in Educational Technology of the Autonomous University of Querétaro, through the doctoral thesis work of Ángel Rueda and the advice of the same by Valdés Godínes.

It is in the development of the thesis work that questions and questions arise, which, although they come from field research in Virtual Worlds (MV), overlap with the field of pedagogy. It is there where the need is evident not only to record the valuable information found in the field, but also to build theoretical-conceptual and methodological references from the field of pedagogical discipline to explain the findings. It should be noted that this is the value of doctoral thesis work, since it implies introducing the student to the world of scientific production; this is precisely the essence of a doctorate: research and scientific production.
